I am having trouble linking my card.

Updated over a week ago

Overview

If you’re having trouble linking your credit or debit card to Kashu, it may be due to security requirements, issuer restrictions, or incorrect information. Kashu uses industry-standard encryption and card network integrations, so any failure typically comes from the card issuer declining the authorization.

Key Points

  • All card linking requests go through your issuing bank or card provider.

  • Kashu cannot override issuer restrictions.

  • Most errors can be fixed by verifying details or contacting your bank.

Step-by-Step: Troubleshooting Card Linking

  1. Check Card Details

    • Ensure the card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address are entered exactly as shown on your statement.

  2. Confirm Card Eligibility

    • Kashu supports most U.S.-issued Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards.

    • Prepaid, gift, or international cards may not be eligible.

  3. Check With Your Bank

    • Call the number on the back of your card to confirm.

  4. Try Again in Kashu

    • Once verified, reattempt linking in Wallet → Add Card.

  5. Contact Support

    • If the issue persists, email [email protected] with:

      • The last 4 digits of the card

      • The error message you received

      • Your registered Kashu email
